Enclosure 7.

Milong, Post Office,

Shim Chun, Province, Canton.
6th. Janary, 1912.
Mr. D. K. Blair,
c/o Messrs. Lowe, Bingham & Matthews,
Dear Sir,
Hongkong.
At present we are very short of money and can't get any from our home board, so we don't know yet, how we are able to carry on our mission work next month. At the interior we have seventy European Missionaries and over two hundred Chinese helpers, who are waiting for money for buying food and for covering daily expenses, so kindly ask, if there is any possibility to obtain the money lying as Deposits on the Chartered Bank and on the Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation. If so and should it be possible to draw back those deposits in your hands we shall come out of our difficulties for several months. I should be very much obliged to yo you if you would kindly bring this matter before His Excellency the Governor or Colonial Secretary. An early answer will be obliged.
Youre etc.,
(Sd.) C. Bitser.
